Work to promote the understanding and prevention of suicide and support those who have been affected by it through research, prevention, intervention, and postvention.


American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Raise awareness about suicide prevention, advocate for public policy change, fund scientific research, and support all those affected by suicide. Support Groups are also offered.


Circle of Love
Survivors of suicide support group. Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday of the month.


EveryMind (Montgomery County Crisis Hotline)
Provides supportive listening, information and resource referrals, and crisis intervention (including suicide assessments) through telephone, text, and chat services. 301-738-2255.

Grief support for suicide loss survivors. Offers peer support and seminars.
